One teaspoon of dark karo syrup in his bottle.
that or one ounce of pear (or prune) juice mixed with one ounce of nursery water. But in only one bottle per day. After 3 days, see if his digestive system balances out itself. then wait 3 more days to see if he poops by himself.

This is what happened to my son, and my pediatrician told me to do this.

If you're breastfeeding, it's completely normal. Breastmilk has no fillers in it and can be almost completely digested. My son would have a BM every 9-10 days. No problems with it. If he's formula fed, ask your doc.

Are you breastfeeding or formula? Breastfeed babies can go up to 2 weeks between poops and it's completly normal. It's because bm is super digestable and there is no waste left. Both my kids would only go once every week or 2 until they started solid foods. As long as when the baby does go it's soft and not hard pebbles they are not constipated and you don't need to do anything.

This is not normal, poor thing must have such a belly ache. The natural way to cure this is to give 100% organic apple juice watered down with sterile water. 1-2 parts water. This is gentle on the stomach and gets things moving. The midwife put my newborn on this after two weeks because she was contantly constipated. She still drinks apple juice every day now at 3.5 years old.
