My 3-year old daughter doesn't want to stay with me. She prefers to be with her grannies and aunts. It hurts. :(

Since giving birth, my daughter and I stayed at my parents and my parents and sisters were the ones taking care of her when I'm at work. That was when her father and I weren't in good terms. A year ago, we reconciled and now living together but she really doesn't want to be with me. It feels like she doesn't love me.

I see , I know it's tough but you have Ti get it the other way around where she is at your house the majority of the time . It's the only way she will get used to the new situation and she will see that it's ok to stay with mommy bc I'll still get to see granny and her aunts. She will cry and it will break your heart but the longer you let her stay with them the harder it will be when you finally decide enough is enough and tell her she has to be at home .

Don't worry hunny , your daughter loves you! Children are creatures of habit and she grew up with your family being there all the time and it's probably a huge adjustment to not only be gone from them but to have you and her daddy back together again. It will take some getting adjusted to but she will get used To it. Try making it easy on her by letting her stay with your family maybe one night a week and make sure she doesn't feel afraid she's going to be totally taken away from them. She probably feels a little insecure right now bc everything has changed but as long as you help her she will adjust Just fine

Right! I know it's a lot easier for me so say it, and it will hurt you bc she will prob be upset and cry until she feels comfortable . Just remember your doing what's best for her in the long run bc she belongs with her parents and try not To let it break your heart too badly when she does get upset bc it will pass!

Yes, right. Enough is enough! LOL :))

Thank you so much. I guess I have to be firm this time around.
After all, I'm the mom, right? :)

Thanks, Danielle. The thing is she is almost there and sleeps there every night. I'm having a hard time taking her to our house and stay.
