I have my 3 year old son home with me at the moment. He will only be starting school next year. I work from home as well so it is extremely exhausting. His behavior is terrible. No punishment seems to be working, I have tried the naughty corner, time out and hidings (which I know aren't exactly the best). No matter what, his behavior has not improved.. He has become harsh towards the animals as well as breaking things around the house. I do understand he needs the interaction with other children as well as more activities to keep him busy. I am doing my best for the time being, but it seems as though nothing is working. In need of some good advice! Battling the toddler stage.x

Yes I do. Unfortunately struggling at the moment as I am doing it alone, I know that is no excuse. But think I definitely needed to hear that, I need to be more consistent. I get fed up easily as I always have so much to do and have been finding it hard to manage, it's not for to much longer as he will be in school soon. The behavior is what bothered me the most. The roughness with the animals though, is that normal for a boy of his age?

You stated that you work from home.....are you putting a lot of time into your work during the day? The bad behavior might be due to lack of attention. You might need to do some kind of daycare/nanny for him during the day. Also no matter what form of discipline you use nothing will work if you are not consistent. 9
