My son is 3 and has always been really good about going to bed at 8 and sleeping through the night. Recently though, that has changed. He is to the point now where he doesn't want to go to bed at all. He'll scream and cry for half an hour. After we finally get him to lay down, he asks for everything. He tells me he wants a glass of water, another stuffed animal or toy. Then comes the "I want my house-shoes," "I don't want my house-shoes," "I want more blankets," "I don't want blankets," "I want to sleep in mommy & daddy's room," "I want daddy to sleep with me, " and everything in between. Then he'll try to get out of bed 15 different times. We have tried everything we can think of. Routine before bed, no naps, a t.v. in his room, wrestling before bed, quiet time before bed, and calming lullaby music that lights up on the ceiling. We even went as far as repainting his room for him (red & blue with a road for his cars all the way around.) We've tried being nice and we've tried being strict. Letting him cry himself to sleep has never worked either because he'll simply make himself sick and then cry some more. And now in the middle of the night, he'll wake up screaming for one of us. I am completely at my wits end. Any ideas?
