My 3 yr old knows to go pee in the potty, should I give him time-outs when he consistantly pees his pants?

My son is 3 years old and knows how to pee and poo in the potty. Sometimes (lately) he's been lazy and peeing in his pants. I keep reminding him but sometimes it doesn't cross my mind to ask him. Should I be putting him on time-outs? I use time-outs for when he misplays with others (bites, hits, etc) Would time-outs be appropriate for not peeing in the potty?

My daughter who is now 5 has just started heaving accidents, (from laziness) after being potty trained since she was 3,

I just made a chart where if she has no accidents all day& night she gets a sticker. its been 2 weeks and shes back on track again now she gets a sticker for a week of dry and i will slowly faze it out over the next few months.

Great! Thank you both. Emma~ that makes sense, reward him for the right doing and not punish for pee accidents.

No I don't think you should use time outs just get yourself back into the habit of putting him on the potty every hour or so, boys take longer than girls to train.
