My son is 4 1/2 months old. will be 5 months on the 24th. He eats 3 jars of baby food a day. breakfast, lunch, and dinner. I feel like he is stil hungry after i feed him just 1 jar. He fusses like he is. Also he s 17lbs & I feel like that has alot to do with why he wants more food. Should I just give him a bottle after, or more babyfood?

wow, that is a large amount of food for a 4mo.... I gave my kids one SMALL jar of food and if they were still hungry, a formula/mommy milk. at this age it is more about introducing foods, and getting them to taste new flavors, and about finding out if they are allergic to certain foods... if they are hungry after one jar, give them formula/mommy milk

At 4.5 months old most babies don't even need a bite of food. 3 jars of baby food is an insane amount of food... even for an older infant. Give him breast milk or formula before his solids and if after one jar he is still hungry... go for more milk.

If he's eating that much I would be concerned and talk to his doctor. Some people have a disorder where they never feel full.... I just can't imagine any 4-5 month old being able to eat that much.

My son was a bit older when he was 17 pounds (probably 6-7 months), but he was still on 99% breast milk (and perfectly satisfied) until close to a year.
