My oldest son did that. We took him to the doctor and pretty much demanded them to test him for everything. Come to find he has acid reflux. His poor tummy was burning and it hurt. They put him on meds that day and that night he slept all night and he hardly ever cried again.

I remember this so well. Trust your instincts. If you are making sure she gets enough quality sleep (10 night time hours and 5 day time), she's fed and watered, then she could have an allergy (e.g. dairy), or be in some other discomfort. Check it out with your doctor or health visitor. In my case, it was quite simply because my son wasn't getting enough sleep because he didn't show signs (and still doesn't at 6) of being tired. Once I worked this out and gave him a better sleep routine, he was far calmer and happier. Good luck - it's different for us all but just keep loving her and you will work it out.

My son cried for the first 10 weeks of his life, nonstop! The pediatrician kept telling me that he was just a colic baby and to drive him around the block. At 10 weeks, I was at the end and his abdomen was really hard. I took him to the ER and he got surgery the same night! Turned out he was born with a hernia!! Nobody had caught it. Up until that point, I was treated like a super paranoid mom. After the surgery, he hardly ever cried again.

If you're nursing her is could be because of something that you are eating or drinking, such as caffiene, and vegatables such as brocolli, onions, garlic, beans. After you feed her keep her upright for 20mins (even after she's burped) and sometimes it helps to raise the head of the bed up a bit.
Make sure that there is nothing esle medically wrong with her (like an ear infection). Some babies just cry more than others. My 5 yr old cried for the first year and through temper tantrums for the next 3 yrs after. It does get better. She is (mostly) an angel now though, LOL. Good luck.
