My 4 months old always pulls her dummy out when she is falling asleep. This causes her to start wailing. Do I help her by putting it back in quickly so she goes back to sleep, or leave her to wail it out- or "self sooth"!?

Mine didn't take a paci, but when nursing my son would sometimes cry as soon as he was off - using ME as his personal pacifier. I just burped and rocked him about ten minutes and he was then out and i laid him in his crib. he was around 5 months when he was doing that. Wouldn't let her wail this young. She'll end up with tons of air in her tummy and then be in pain from that..making more crying. Been there. Took bad advice. Won't do it again. If it's a minor fuss and not a haul out cry, maybe let her grumble talk to sleep, but if it's a CRY, nah, pick her up and try to soothe without dummy so she doesn't miss it when she's laying down. best of luck!
