My 4 year old son is crying all the time. He'll cry for everything and anything. I really dont know whats wrong with him. When I ask him whats wrong he'll just cry more and more. Its really frustrating when your a single mother with 2 younger kids to take care of. If he just wants something to drink instead of telling me he'll just sit there and cry. This morning my sister took him to school (as she does every morning along with his cousin) and he just started throwing this huge tantrum that even the teachers tried to take him out but they couldnt so she had no choice then to take him back home. He's a sweet kid but this has to stop! He's been having constant accidents on himself as well.. Its just so many things and I cant take it any more. Im not sure how to handle this. Please help!

Aw... poor little guy! How do you react when he is crying for 'no' reason? How are his language skills? Is he getting enough sleep? Does he ever express to you in words that something is bothering him?

4 year olds are strange creatures with some powerful emotions. I thought my son would get better once he turned 4 as that was how it happened with my older kids, but the tantrums got WORSE.

I don't really have much advice for you. The concerning thing with my son at the moment is that he FEELS like crying, but doesn't know why and verbalizes that to me. He's actually going to be going to counseling once I find someone because he WANTS to get help with his feelings. :( ♥

I've talked to the doctor and she said to give it some more time. Kids develop in different stages..

Is he IN speech? Speaking to his doctor about being evaluated might be a good first step if you haven't already done that.

Actually Im also a little worried about his language skills.. He doesnt speak as well as the other kids his age.. Although, he is very social and makes friends easily. He is getting enough sleep he goes to bed at 7:30- 7:45ish. At first I wasnt too worried I figured it was only a stage.. Some people tell me he may be jealous but i know thats not the case because I give him alot of attention as well and never had a problem with that.. He never says anything about his feeling I guess he just doesnt know how yet (speech issues) Now im just frustrated and i try to calm him down and redirect his attention to something else, talking to him, and i dont know what else to do.
