My 4mo baby has a protien allergy, we are on a elimination diet, which has been very difficult. Should I switch to formula? I love bf my bambino, my family and husband seem to think formula would be best for LO and I. But I am having such a hard time giving it up, even though my son has no problem with the formula. Also how do you stop breastfeeding, do you have to wean?

You can breastfeed and give the baby formula. that's what I used to do. You can pump into bottles everyday and give the baby formula, then the next feeding give breast milk. You can wean by pumping less everyday, I wouldn't just stop because that can cause big problems for your breasts.
But I would recommend giving breast milk and formula, allergies or not! it's a great thing to do. breast milk helps them a great amount.
