My daughter used to do the same thing at that age. She was a really deep sleeper. I suggest getting a mattress pad so the mattress doesn't get ruined. I would also take him to the doctor to make sure nothing else is going one.
Put him in a pull up and stop losing sleep.
Some doctors are more proactive about this and will start trying treatments at 5. Others, like mine, don't even START to be concerned til around 8.
Every kid is different. I had twin girls that were day trained before 3, but had wet beds (on decreasing frequency) til 8.5. Then I have my 3.5 year old son who has been fully day and night trained for about 8 months w/ zero wet beds.
Your son is, most likely, perfectly normal and will start to stay dry through the night either when his bladder matures enough to hold his pee that long... or he 'learns' to wake on his own in the night to pee.
