We have gone beyond tantrum...she will actually make things up to get herself worked up and angry. For instance, when she makes a bad choice and ends up in time out for her 5 minute she yells and screams "I don't want a time out for 10 minutes" or we tell her to go to her room for a time out we get "I don't want to take a nap"! She will act like she cannot do simple every day things such changing her clothes. Or she will ask us where something is and it is right in front of her and she will spin in circles throwing a fit saying she can't see it as she is looking at it! We have tried to calmly talk to her...my husband spend 3.5 hours calmly talking to her trying to get her to calm down and it goes from bad to worse. We have tried yelling...we have tried holding her in a lap lock....we have tried negotiating with choices before a tantrum (Love and Logic). It doesn't work. Now she is in kindergarten anhttp://www.circleofmoms.com/home.php?cfm... we just don't have that time in the mornings. We have resorted to holding her door shut to her room in hopes she calms down so we can talk and it takes a long time if it all to calm down. She has two older brothers and I have never had to deal with anything to this extreme with them. I am at a total loss. We even had tried letting her know that if she doesn't calm down she is going to lose her favorite doll...it gets worse! We have gone to removing every single doll/animal from her room. She just gets so lost in her tantrum it's like she can't think or calm down. Any advice...I will take what I can get!
