My baby girl is so active and always on the go. She does NOT have ADD but always into everything and anything. She has been disiplined and has had things taken away and told she is not going to have any friends over but this still continues. Any suggestions on how to calm her down and just sit for awhile? Is this geneitically because my older brother was the same way?

She does not get the supervision like I would like her to have while I am at work but what can I do? I have to work. While I am there, we do lots of things together. But while I am trying to cook, do laundry, clean up, she is into everything.

Ok, sounds normal.....it really does. She sounds bored. If she did all this while you were at work, who is supervising her and spending time with her? Is someone actually sitting down and spending time with her? Maybe she needs some sort of outlet outside the home? Does she start school soon? Has she been in school in the past?

A lot of questions I know, but her behaviour doesn't strike me as abnormal, more just bored.

Jodi, When I say into everything, yesterday while I was @ work, she got her porcelain dolls off her high shelf in her bedroom and put them on the dresser (which was a bedroom set from my husbands gma) then she continued to spray all of them with sun screen mist. The dolls stuck to the dresser as if it were super glue. She want to play the wii then 5 minutes wants to color 5 minutes later she want to go out and ride her bike, 5 minutes later she wants to go swimming, 5 minutes later she is taking a screwdriver and unscrewing knobs, handles, outlet plates, then she is into to something else. It never ends.

What do you mean by "always into everything and anything". I have a 6 year old daughter on Energizer batteries, which is why I was asking. Sometimes, you just have to choose your battles. But asking my daughter to sit for a while is often asking the impossible. She always has to be doing something. It's just in her nature.
