Just started an ADHD medication with my 5yr old about 1mo ago. She was this sweet little girl who had a hard time focusing on tasks and could not sit still but sweet at that. We are now a month into the medication and she is refusing to do things and throwing temper tantrums. I spoke to the doctor and he doesn't seem to believe that this is caused by the increase of medicine but since I was concerned he said to dial back and after a few days slowly dial back up. 1wk later and its not as severe but still bad enough that I don't know what to do. Does anyone have any suggestions?

My son is ADHD, and to help stabilize the mood swings, he takes olanzapine which helps the moods, stimulates his appetite, and gets him to sleep at a decent time for a 1st grader. However, I feel that his ADHD med is not quite the one for him, as we are working on switching this now.
