So my son is 6 weeks old. He was born 8 pounds 7oz 21 inches long. He now weighs 12 pounds as of yesterday. If he is not sleeping he is eating and if he is not sleeping or eating he is sticking his hands in his mouth trying to feed on them and crying. Using a paci works for maybe 30 seconds and then he realizes it has no milk in the bottle and literally screams bloody murder until he starts coughing. There is no walking around bouncing him, using a bouncy, no talkin to him to calm him NOTHING WORKS besides making him another bottle. This happens at least every hour with 4 oz of formula. He eats until he finishes the bottle and then falls asleep or he will finish the bottle an cry until you make him another 4 oz bottle. I have tried giving him 2oz of water also but even after he finishes that he wants more food. I don't know what to do!

DON'T give him water!!! You can give him water toxicity! The formula has plenty of water already in it. If you are concerned about him over eating, talk with your pediatrician. This is what babies do, eat, sleep, pee/poop, repeat. This may not be the correct formula for him, or the doctor may have suggestions for you. Perhaps you are using a larger nipple than he needs.
