Ask him why nobody wants to play with him, maybe tell him to go and ask a group of boys if he can join in tomorrow. Also you could go and see the teacher as she would have a good inside as to what's going on with the class.Maybe chat to one of the mothers of another boy in his class and set up a play Date for your sons that way if they play together at home they might bond over a favourite toy and then play together at school, then other friends of the boy might be friends with you son.

I bet he is a lovely boy, good luck I wish him the best of luck finding friends hope it all works out for you :)

No problem,I was also very much like that I was the picky one and it sounded to my mum like no one would play with me.Hope he finds his special buddy and I'm sure he will :) good luck.

Thanks so much for the tips. I talked with his teacher and she says he doesn't like to join in with a group that is already playing. He apparently has his own ideas on how to pretend. Maybe he is the one who is being picky about who he plays with and it comes out as, "No one will play with me." I was very much like this as a child. It took one special girl that became my friend, then all was well. Hopefully he will find that special boy to pal around with. Thanks again
