My 6 year old will read at home but not at school

My 6 year old little boy has problems reading and I am helping him through them, however, he will read for me and my mom and my friend but whenever he is at school he will not read for his teacher or reading specialist. I don't know what I should do. Any suggestions?

I agree with Anaquita also how is the teacher phrasing things, my son was 6 almost 7 in grade one and he could read quite well it was how the teacher approached it that led her to believe he couldn't she would say to him Wyatt can you read this, this question implies that he has a choice and he didn't like his teacher so he chose not to read.

My guess? He's not comfortable enough around them to feel secure to show his lack of reading ability around them, so he's refusing to do them completely. I say talk to the teacher and reading specialist to see how they approach it with them, and if they could find a way to make him feel a bit more comfortable.
