Can she still go to her childminder if the other children there have been vaccinated? Can children still get chickenpox even if they have been vaccinated already (as they all are over 18months plus)?

I dont want to risk other children getting infected, as she is due to go back to her childminder this coming Monday, and her spots have only been scabbed over for 5 days by this date.

It usually takes 10-14 days for all the blisters to be scabbed over and then you are no longer contagious.

So you can not send her back to her childminder, though she prob caught the chicken pox there, and has already exposed them for a few days before she actually showed any poxs.

As for vaccinated children, yes they can get chicken pox or shingles.

I doubt they would allow it at this point. She is still contagious. Check with your doctor though.

Ask your doctor. Whether the other children have been vaccinated or not really doesn't matter since they can still develop shingles from exposure to the virus. Whether she's still infectious is up to your doctor to determine.
