my 8 month old baby wont sleep!?

my 8 month old is what you call spoilt.. i can hardly put him down never mind put him to bed on his own or by my side. he fights fights fights and i dont know what to do. he is a breastfed baby so he usually just sleeps with my husband and i and feeds throughout the night but its become such a habbit he just wont sleep.. what can i do to start getting him to sleep on his own , and to go to bed on his own.? i know there is the cry it out method but it breaks my heart hearing him cry for so long :(

First off, your son isnt spoiled. He is going through many brain and body developments, that cause him to be unsure of the big large world. Perfectly normal or him to be attached to his mommys hip at his age.

Second, if you want to cut out night feedings its actually a lot easier then you think.

Feed him at bed time, when he wakes for his next feeding comfort him instead. You can rub his back, sing, whatever your son likes. Let him feed the rest of the night when he asks. Do this for a week, then cut out 2nd and 4th feeding in the night, it will take a couple of weeks, but soon you will find he will finally be sleeping through the night.
