So my 8 year old will not listen at all she was in to see a doc and he said she has ADHD but she is very smart and the two don't go well together, she lies about everything, steals and convences her 4 year old sister to do all the wrong things, when we dicipline her she luaghs at us if you ask her why she didn't do what she was told she replies "I just didn't want to" i don't know what to do with her she got her sister up one morning and told her it was ok to leave and go to the park 2 miles away you talk about heart attack, it's like she feels nothing and nothing matters to her, is there some sorta correctional facilty for kids, her 11 year old brother is an angel and our 4 year old happy as can be, i don't know what to do I think i have tried everything?

I would go to a family councellor to help sort things out. They may be able to give you advice on how to handle her and also speak to her and see if there is some way they can help.

You may want to talk to her about solving certain issues. So you can simply ask her, sometimes you convince your little sister to do something she shouldn't, whats up? Then she'll probably say 'I don't know' or 'I don't do that' and you can just say you're main point right now is to find out what's going on and see if you AND her can find a solution.

Giving her the opportunity to be part of the solution, and find ideas that work for both of you, can be a great way to gain cooperation. She may be able to figure out a solution to something that you hadn't thought of. You two can brainstorm on what to do. This won't necessarily make things work splendidly right away but if there is an issue and you both talk about the solution she's more likely to do what you want then if you simply get her in trouble. Just an idea.

There may also be parenting support groups for children with ADHD in your area, I would check that type of thing out.
