Extra lessons? Huummm, is she being pulled out for small group reading interventions by a reading specialist? This is the first step to RtI (Response to Intervention). If no progress is made, additional strategies are given until all options are exhausted. Next, the team would request additional testing. (Please note, it is federal law to notify and receive permission from the custodial parent before any testing can he administered.) Another question....Does your daughter wear glasses?

Thanks Jenny, we organized extra lessons for her. She is a twin, her twin reads, her younger sister of 6 also reads fluently. Its just her & she is absent minded in class.

Hi, I'm the Intervention Specialist/Dyslexia Tchr/504 Coordinator for a school district in TX. I would to love know what steps (interventions) your child's school have in place to help your daughter succeed. Do you mind sharing?
