I have an almost 9 month old little boy and during the day he's a breastfed baby, but at night I wasn't producing enough milk to fill him up and so he was waking every 1-2 hours even at 8 months he was. Well in the last month I've started giving him formula just to fill him up at night. He still tends to wake up every 2 hours, but it's not because he's hungry it's because he wants to be held. I never got him into the habit of rocking him, swaying with him or anything of those sorts. I just don't know what to do anymore to get him to sleep at least 4 hours straight. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Well, my 8 month old daughter(recently turned 8 months), is still waking up every night to eat at least twice. We started feeding her baby food throughout the day, I actually stopped giving her much formula throughout the day and started her on an eating schedule. Since she was about 6 months, I would start at 8am and give her a fruit, at 3pm she would get a vegetable, and at 7pm she would get a dinner(chicken noodle, mixed vegetables, ham pineapples and rice). It started to fill her up until she started waking up again, then it got to where I would have to actually make her some homemade mashed potatoes, and give her instant grits but make them really runny. It worked for me.
