We have not started the shots yet......we will be taking humatrope (sp?). My 9 year old daughter has ADHD and ODD ( oppositional defiance disorder) with some sensory issues so you can imagine life is a little challenging as it is. Now we are adding daily shots to the mix. She is terrified of the idea. We are having tears and anxiety over the shots and we don't even have the medication yet. She is very intelligent and nothing get by her. Both myself and the doctor have explain why she needs the shots.....but is doesn't matter. She likes being little :). Does anyone have any advice on how I can help my daughter.

An health aide would be a wonderful idea, she does take "things" better from others then from her parents. But unfortunately we would not qualify for that. Thanks for the encouraging words 😊

I've been wracking my brain all afternoon, because I have an Asperger's kid that's got a fear of needles, but I have no friggin clue how to advise you to help her anxiety at this step!

You've got my empathy, and my thoughts & prayers. I am fortunate that my kid doesn't have to do daily shots. Do you have a health aide that could help, maybe?
