My 9 yr old son's headaches are really worrying me. I'm following doctors orders but I get overwhelmed at times. I just want them gone!! Any advice?

Totally understandable, and, yes, the wait once you've got an appointment scheduled can be excruciating!
Hang in there, keep monitoring, and the journal. Migraine at any age is horrible, but for young kids, who don't understand totally what's happening, just that it HURTS...that's tough.
I'll keep you in my thoughts and prayers. Keep me posted!

Thanks for responding. Yes! Eyes checked regularly. So far so good with eyes. Time for his yearly eye check up. Doc orders are keeping journal, keeping him hydrated with water (we do better some days than others), he suggested small amount if caffeine daily to help, plenty or rest, not to let him get too hungry, prescribed an antihistamine that helps with migraines as well , we've gone to allergist and had all those test run which turns out he's not highly allergic so unlikely allergies causing headaches and I've schedule a neurologist appt. That's what I meant by following orders. I've done everyone he's asked is to do and we are just WAITING as he still gets headaches. Neuro appt not until end of August!!!!! :/ Headaches are a few less than before med yet that still come and I wish new why! I've seen and heard that this is not uncommon for young boys but as a mom, instill "worry."
