My almost 2 year old son is not happy @home!! Why is he always crying at home????? When he is at the daycare he is always smiling and listening. With me he doesn't want to do anything and are always upset????? It feels as if I am failing as a mom.

Yes, I KNOW!!!!! At least Tuesday is National Holiday and no work :)>. I hope and believe from next week everything will get back to normal. Overtime must just wait for a week or so. I cannot drain myself like that and in the process I also harm him for not seeing me as much as he needs to. I'm off in about 2 hours and tomorrow I will not be working after 16:00. Then work will see me only on Monday. I called my hubby and he said that WJ is all good at the moment - he already had his bath and they are cosy watching tv stories.

Well, then I guess the only thing I can suggest is to work less! :) I know--easier said than done. However, if you are only home between 23:00 and 05:00, then your baby must not see you very much :( This could be causing him stress in itself. Perhaps if you take a few days--or a week off for vacation--you will see an improvement.

Everything is nice at home, the normal stress but my hubby and I don't like to put him under any strain. So there is no yelling and negative energies. I take him to daycare at 7:00 in the morning and fetch him at about 17:00 noon. And yes he is more of a morning person. Always smiling when waking up and so on. Maybe I'm just a little stressed out, because my work is taking a lot out of me at the moment. I'm also working overtime so my day starts at 05:00 in the morning and ends about 23:00 at night.

What is your environment like at home? Is there stress, or yelling anywhere? Are you tired and stressed out if you've been working all day? Really look at the whole situation from his point of view. How much time is he spending at the daycare. Maybe he is just exhausted at night and needs to go to bed. Most toddlers are NOT at their best at the end of the day. Is he happier when he wakes up on Saturday morning (or whatever morning you have off)?
