My baby is 19 months old, everytime he sees his carer, he criés or is indifferent to her, he also refuses cuddles or any physical contact.

If this is a new carer and/or this is only on drop off/pick up times.... it's perfectly normal. If this has been his carer for a while and this is happening all day long... they might just not be a good fit for each other.

My 4.5 year old son has had the same preschool teacher for a year and a half and he loves her, but you'd better believe he'd still rather hang out w/ Mommy all day.

is this all day long? or just when you pick up and drop off? Kids will 98% prefer parent's to the carer... which makes since, you are the parent. and when you drop them off, they would prefer to stay with you... why would they want to leave their parents? and when you pick them up, they are sooooo excited to see you, this is even more true if they are NEW to the carer. they still might not be sure about them . as long as they are having fun during the day, that is all that matters
