We were pregnant with twin baby girls. At 18 weeks my OB discovered i had twin to twin transfusion. Baby A was the sickest and our only option to save Baby B was to cut Baby As cord. After the surgery my OB said everything was going ok and there was a good chance of survival for Baby B. At 26 weeks gestation my placenta ruptured and i had to deliver ASAP and my baby girl was born. Two weeks later she died of infection in her intestines she was too fragile to fight it. We named her Ximena . Now we are planning on conceiving again and if its a girl we would like to reuse her name . What do you think of reusing a name after a deceased child?
Our family thinks we are crazy...

That's a personal decision. In a way, it would not be much different than naming them after a dead grandmother or something like that. There won't be two children running around with the same name to get confused about who you're speaking to. Personally, I think it's a little creepy. And why bother naming the deceased child if you're not going to let her keep that identity? But most people are not going to know the story, so they won't have any opinion about it unless you tell them.
