My baby girl drinks sugar water because sometimes she won't drink much of her formula and I think that sugar water will atleast give her something in her belly. What should I do if she doesn't want her formula?

The only thing that baby should be eating/drinking is breast milk or formula. A normal child will not starve themselves and WILL drink the formula if she is hungry enough. If she won't... she needs medical attention, not sugar water.

You should talk to a pediatrician to see what they recommend for your baby. The child should be on breast milk or formula. Water can interfere with a young baby's ability to absorb the nutrients in breast milk or formula and, because it can make her feel full, it may prevent her from feeding as much as she should - so she won't get the sustenance she needs. Sugar water contains empty calories that only weaken appetite. Giving water to an infant can also cause water intoxication, a serious condition that happens when too much water dilutes the concentration of sodium in the body, upsetting the electrolyte balance and causing tissues to swell. It's uncommon but serious, potentially causing seizures and even a coma. If a young baby needs more hydration – because of a bout of gastroenteritis, for example, the doctor may recommend an electrolyte drink like Pedialyte or Infalyte. Again, you should talk to your doctor.

Like Shawnn and Jodi said, your child should only be drinking her formula, nothing else.

Don't force her, and feed her later, when she's hungry.

DO NOT GIVE SUGAR WATER OR JUICE. As it is, your child is already addicted to sugar, so you're going to have a fight on your hands.

She doesn't need ANYTHING except her formula!! Water is totally unnecessary and has no nutrition in it.
