my baby has got hypoxic brain damage!

hi,we found out 3 weeks ago that my 8 month old has got hypoxic brain damage,we dont really know much about it all the doctors told us is she has damage to her brain on both side,we have alot of appointments coming up but still feel clueless as to what is happening to my little girl,she is 8 months old and can only hold her own head up for a few seconds,she has no hand an eye co-ordernation and all she seems to do is cry, when she is feeding she always chokes, is anyone going thru the same? thankyou

I asked my husband what this is, he is a paramedic. he said it is cause from lack of oxygen to the brain. he said it was most likely cause during the birthing process.

Thank you,I can't get my head around this at the min because I don't know anything about it,I don't know how bad it is so I'm just thinking the worst,the did ask me alot about when I was carrying her,I had a infection in my kidney when I was twenty weeks and was very poorly and they was going to put a tube
in to my kidney and drain it but then they put me on tablets instead and I stayed in hospital,then at 39 weeks pregnant I was in a car accident and the arm rest went into my stomach.
