The best thing to do, is get the dirty diaper off as soon as you can. Then, let themn be exposed to air as often as you can. Leaving them without a diaper on a few times per day can help wonders. I also used "Burt's Bees" diaper rash ointment. It is a little strong smelling, but soothes and heals like no other diaper cream I have used. I will try to find a link for you. But, if it is a really bad diaper rash, do not ignore it. Have the pediatrician look at it to make sure it is not a yeast infection. It requires different prescription cream for that.

It could be the brand of diapers you use, I've never had a problem myself, but some friends find that pampers are harsh on their babies skin. Otherwise you could use penitin cream, it is mildly medicated to help with the exsiting rash and protects the bottom from getting worse.
