If you are breastfeeding, then yes, it's totally normal.. I didn't get mine back for 17 months.

I had the same thing with both of my children. I actually found out I was pregnant again when my first wasy 9 mos and didn't even have a period yet! my second is now 10 mos and I just got one because I just start birth control and it kind of makes you have one. Don't worry about it. If you are breastfeeding then that is most likely why and that doesn't mean you can't get pregnant (trust me). Your body will figure itself out all in due time. Enjoy it!

It's not normal for me, I usually start mine 6 weeks after my babies are bone, I've had 3 babies. Every woman is different, have you talked to your doctor about it?

This is pretty normal if you are breast feeding.......but you really need to talk to your doctor about it........... good luck....

if you are breastfeeding your body thinks that you are still pregnant, so if so then it's normal. the moment you stop your period will come. bye

It took me almost 4 years to be regular again....Before getting pregnant I knew to the hour, when I would get my period. Even though I am more regular now( after 5.5 years), I still can't even count on what day of the week it will happen....Kids don't just turn our worlds around, they get our bodies all worked up and confused too! I'd still let the doc know.

It can be different every time...even if you are breastfeeding. For my first, it was 10 months before mine came back (I started weaning at 9 months). For my second, it came back after 6 months even though I breastfed for 18 months and for my third, it came back around 4 months....but only every other month or so until around 8 months had passed, then more consistently every month but sometimes VERY light, sometimes heavy (I breastfed #3 to 21 months). HEED what the other women are saying. Baby #3 was conceived while breastfeeding baby #2...and baby #4 (due in June) was conceived while still breastfeeding baby #3.

totally normal, with my first i got mine at about 9 months after she was born and with my youngest, well she just turned a year and still no period- it's a bonus to breastfeeding that some women get.

Yes, is totally normal if you're brestfeeding but dont forget to use birth control if you dont want to get pregnant yet, just let your doctor know that you're brestfeeding

With my older daughter I didn't get a period until I was about 15 months postpartum and I quit breastfeeding at 9 or 10 months. They only reason I finally got oone is I started hormonal birth control. Now I just had my second baby and was only able to breastfeed for 4 weeks and she just turned 2 months with no period yet. (knock on wood.)

I went through that with my last child. you really should see your doctor about that. My doctor said sometimes its hard to have a period after you have a baby expecually if you breast feed the baby. But they will normally put you on birth control to start your period. so call your doctor. Hope this helps and good luck
