hello i have a question my name is sarah i am 9 months post partum with my 5th child im not breast feeding and had my first c section and had my tubes tide right after,, my question is i have not gotten my period at all since then, i get these horrible pains about once or twice every 2 months in my pelvic area , feels like my pelvis is cracking in two.. very worried i know i should have seen a doctor about this a long time ago. which i am seeing next week. Can anyone give me any advice as to what this might be ,, im very nervous and pray its nothing too serious. im just seeking some answers as to what it might be if its normal . i just want to have some sort of clue before i get to the doctor im tired of worrying about this ,,, i should i have seen a doctor a very long time ago,, i know i hope my waiting so long has not done my body significant damage :( Thank you in advance for your answers and suggestions .
I had the same thing with both of my children. I actually found out I was pregnant again when my first wasy 9 mos and didn't even have a period yet! my second is now 10 mos and I just got one because I just start birth control and it kind of makes you have one. Don't worry about it. If you are breastfeeding then that is most likely why and that doesn't mean you can't get pregnant (trust me). Your body will figure itself out all in due time. Enjoy it!

It took me almost 4 years to be regular again....Before getting pregnant I knew to the hour, when I would get my period. Even though I am more regular now( after 5.5 years), I still can't even count on what day of the week it will happen....Kids don't just turn our worlds around, they get our bodies all worked up and confused too! I'd still let the doc know.

It can be different every time...even if you are breastfeeding. For my first, it was 10 months before mine came back (I started weaning at 9 months). For my second, it came back after 6 months even though I breastfed for 18 months and for my third, it came back around 4 months....but only every other month or so until around 8 months had passed, then more consistently every month but sometimes VERY light, sometimes heavy (I breastfed #3 to 21 months). HEED what the other women are saying. Baby #3 was conceived while breastfeeding baby #2...and baby #4 (due in June) was conceived while still breastfeeding baby #3.

With my older daughter I didn't get a period until I was about 15 months postpartum and I quit breastfeeding at 9 or 10 months. They only reason I finally got oone is I started hormonal birth control. Now I just had my second baby and was only able to breastfeed for 4 weeks and she just turned 2 months with no period yet. (knock on wood.)

I went through that with my last child. you really should see your doctor about that. My doctor said sometimes its hard to have a period after you have a baby expecually if you breast feed the baby. But they will normally put you on birth control to start your period. so call your doctor. Hope this helps and good luck
