My baby is 4 months and hasn't started rolling over yet. Is this normal? I know he should've started doing this a while ago.

My son NEVER rolled over. My daughter was doing it from her back to her stomach by her first week. Every child is different. They all go at different paces, and will often skip steps.

that's good, some of the BEST advice given to me by my mom was "as long as they are all talking and walking by the time they go to school, then they are doing fine." Notice she didn't even say anything about wetting their pants... My nephew wets his bed EVERY NIGHT, due to nocturia enuresis... he is top of the class, and very bright, active child... nothing wrong with him

My daughter also never rolled over, when she finally did she was a year old and it was to go to sleep on her belly.

Thanks ladies...I didn't think it was a big problem bc he seems to be really smart, imitating everything I do. I just wanted to hear others experience. I do believe that he may skip steps bc he had been holding his head up since he was born. But thanks for being so reassuring!

Thank you. I don't usually compare but I wanted to make sure he's not too far off from what he is "expected" to do by his age.

they say boys are slower than girls when it comes to developmental milestones... I wouldn't worry about it... it also makes a difference if he is chunky... chunky babies take a little while longer than thin babies to do things like this, also, at 4 months old, that's about the time when they start this... so as long as he is lifting his head up... that's fine.... I am sure he will be rolling over in the next month don't compare him to other kids, it's not fair
