I'm 4ft7 my son doesn't gain much weight either just the fact he never stops he's constantly on the move. He wont even sit still to eat. Sounds like you have nothing to worry about. Quite often i've heard parents been told there kids aren't the right weight and so forth but the fact is every child is different all different shapes and sizes. Unless there's real concern and he's not eating or drinking i would lose any sleep over it.

if he's very active and still growing and meeting milestones probably not a big issue. carbs like potato and that are a good thing to introduce. They give longer lasting energy. Maybe ask for suggestions from the nurse. Discuss what your childs diet is and what to introduce to his diet.

Try and encourage him to eat more dairy products like yogurt and cheese and try to get him to eat things like bread sticks or cheese twists to add carborhydrate to his diet. He will gain weight eventually so dont worry to much about it for now unless he is dangerously underweight then you need to seek advice from a dietician.
