It's really upsetting him. He's three months old. He won't take a dummy. He rams his hands in his mouth birthday once sometimes and chews rather frantically. He ends up crying, seems frustrated and starts up again. He Quite often seems to be ficused mainly on hetting his thumb in hus mouth but even when he achieves it, it pops out a s he dies t Ever get to the calm sucking stage. Is he just learning to suck his thumb? its been going on fir nearly two weeks. It's relentless and I want him to stop! Hes started dribbling as well. i have him my fingetcto chew/suck and he sucks it all the way diwn tgd back of his thriat, making himself retch. I think hes making himself uncomfortablexwith his own hands and maybe hurting down in his thriat ir something?? why is he upset and so digged about this? Any idea what's wrong??! Thank you

Hang in there, my dear...LOL...the first year only lasts for 12 months, and after that you'll start to think you're a pro!

Good luck!

Possibly teething, my dear. They chew on anything and everything, they stuff their hands, feet, anything in their mouths, and they get really drooly. And they get pissy. They may run a temp, may not.

Feel his gums. If you feel any bumps where teeth will be later, it most likely is teething.

BUT...You may want to take him to the pediatrician to double check. Or at the very least call the nurse hotline and ask them about it. They'll tell you if it should be a concern.
