You can either start jarred foods or make your own foods. Cook fresh or frozen veggies and puree them soft, you can add breast milk or water if they seem too thick. Food is for fun until age one, so keep introducing new textures and flavors. And I agree, no juice at all. No child needs juice and it is hard on their teeth and puts empty calories into their diet.

I agree with everything Raye said but I will add: DON'T give your baby juice at all!!!!! You should hold off on the juice for as long as possible (around 2 years). It's not needed and all it will do is make feeding savoury foods harder.
You should start off with simple foods like mashed potatoe or carrots. Solids at this age are just to learn how to chew/swallow and for texture, not nutrition. Milk (formula or breastmilk) is still the main source of nutrition.

You can start introducing her to solid foods. Give small portions of only one food for 3-5 days (to make sure there are no allergies) before trying a new food. if they don't like it, don't force them, but do try to reintroduce the food later, after their tastes develop more. You can give store-bought baby food, or you can grind/puree anything you eat (without a lot of spices or flavorings). You can give a few ounces of juice, but not in a bottle.. better to use a sippy cup. Most nutrition should still come from formula or breastmilk until 1 year old. Feeding them solids now is only to get them used to different flavors and textures.
