I am 30 weeks pregnant with my second child and I am very uncomfortable and fatigued. I have been sick on and off the whole time. The job is physically challenging. As an NP, I am exposed to many illnesses. I am under contract. I gave my resignation a month ago, but am required to give 3 months notice. I want to stop working now, but my boss says I may not stop until my contract is over or my baby is born. So can I legally stop working sooner? I feel i need to stop.

I think you should check with the fair work ombudsman or similar department and see what the laws are. It depends on where you are and what your contract states.
You may also be able to get a letter from your doctor saying you are unable to work out your contract but then your employer may not have to pay you out either.
