My nine year old boy talks very loud his father and I are quiet, why

Hi Julia, I come from a loud family but are quiet myself so I may hold the key to some vital information LOL. Loudness can often be a sign of not feeling like you’re able to get your point across or that you don’t feel heard. It could also be a personality thing or something that comes from not always considering those around you (which having a son myself I understand that sometimes they can forget where they are or not always understand ‘social etiquette’ like girls do). Loudness can come from a child in a big family - having lots of other people to compete with for attention, or single child families - often more mature because more time spent with mum and dad and maybe not always a member of mum and dad’s conversations. I hope I have helped, there is no real reason why your son is loud and having quiet parents isn’t a factor because it definitely didn’t make me loud by having a loud family. Good luck, I’m sure your son is lovely :)
