I made a cleaning schedule for myself. This way I make sure things get done though out the week. Even the things we dont normally see much of. Also schedule in what I will be making for dinner, ect.. Of course I will try to keep everything tidy all day so the schedule will have just the main things I want to focus on that day besides all the little extra details that are done anyway.

Starting Today:

Monday- Mop, Seperate Laundry, Clean Bathroom (that goes as far as scrubbing tub, toilet, ect..) Dinner: Spegetti with Meatballs/Garlic Bread/and Salad.

Tuesday- Wash Clothes (All Clothes). Takes 2-3 hours at laundry mat. Fold and Hang up clothes, Dust Blinds/Shelves/Furniture. Dinner: Chicken Tacos/Rice/Beans/Salad

Wednesday- Mop, Clean Refrigerator and Wipe down Stove. Dinner: Fish Burgers (sides vary), Fish sticks for 1 year old.

Thursday- Clean Bathroom (Same expectation as Monday), Make sure rooms are decent and clean and nothing has gone totally wrong if so pick up a little more than usual today. Dinner: Grilled Cheese and Tomato Soup

Friday- Mop, Seperate and Wash Laundry, Throw away Old un-eaten food in refrigerator and wipe down stove. Dinner: Daddy is suprising us with dinner today

.

Saturday- Take a break. Today is family day. Go out, Eat Out, have fun and Enjoy your day.

Sunday- Mop and mak sure all rooms look tidy, Maybe do some deep cleaning today? Go threw drawers and Cabinets, Closets or boxes stored with miscellaneous items. Dinner: Strogenoff (sp?)

Everyday Expectations: Pick up after yourself and your little one constantly through out the day. Dont let things sit and pile or add up. Husband takes out the trash daily. Mommy gets One Hour every other day to go to the gym. If you didnt go today make sure you go tomorrow. Dishes get washed after every meal and if that doesnt happen it gets done when kids are in bed (Dont forget to shower too).

I need to get a schedule.....I've gotten lazy. The in-laws visited awhile ago (1 yr ago, but they still said something) and it wasnt very clean, so they must have told my husband (NOT me) that since I stay at home this place should be clean all the time.....they told him something like that....kinda pissed me off.....I have to entertain them (3 kids 3 1/2 yr old is the oldest) cook clean bathe put to bed while hubby sleeps and goes to work 10 pm to 730 am......so I am literally with them 24/7 and my youngest (7month old) likes to get up every 3 hours throughout the night.......
What I need is a food chart, I never know what to cook........

Yvonne- just keep at it. I have to clean or it drives me crazy but not always. My son who has Asperger's does much better with a clean and clutter free space plus his allergies to dust mites kind of motivates me.. Soooo that is why I (try) to keep on top of it.
If you don't get it all done don't worry about it. Making lists helps a lot. I struggled with depression but got help which you are doing (GOOD for you) things will get better it just takes time. Keep your chin up.

OMG, I struggle with Depression, but I am still trying to get a schedule in place somewhere, everyday I try and do alittle more around the house, but I get confused alot . My counsellor says when I start a job to stay there and finish that one , before I walk away , because I always seem to start something else before I finish the first one. M hats off to u for being so good and sticking to it.

Yvonne

My schedule for cleaning the house is on Thursday nights. I clean bathrooms, den, living room kitchen that includes and not limited to dusting, vacuuming, moping and straightening. That way I have a clean house for the weekend and can spend it with my son. I will do laundry through out the week but change/wash all sheets on Saturday. I usually straighten my son's room all through the week then vacuum on Saturday.
Since he wakes up at 6:00 every day including Saturday I do yard work at 7:00 then I am done while it is still cool outside.
Of course I straighten as needed, cook, make lunches and all the other things moms have to do to keep the house running smoothly.

We both work full time so during the week we mostly stick to cooking dinner, prepping lunches, laundry (probably one load per night, maybe 2), cleaning up the kitchen after food prep, and tidying as needed. Our deal is that one person cooks and cleans kitchen while the other does laundry and tidies.

On one day of the weekend we do the bathrooms, dusting, vacuuming, and a more comprehensive kitchen clean up. Hubby does most of the vacuuming, we each take a bathroom, and I dust and clean the kitchen. Probably once a month we wash windows and arrange closets and stuff. Basically as needed.

We are a little behind right now, our daughter's closet really needs a clean out. But we are renovating our basement and planting the garden for spring which is keeping us busy. Plus, I'm pregnant and pretty darn exhausted at the end of each week.

I have dailies which are dishes, wipe stove and counters, sweep (after every meal), mop floors, vacuum, freshen bathrooms (wipe sink and toilet), general pick up, and do at least one load of laundry. I also exercise 5 days a week and shower everyday while the youngest takes her first nap. Then it goes by day of the week which involves the scrubbing, dusting, polishing, organizing type cleaning.
Mon: Kids rooms/ toys (I also clean my moms house that day)
Tues: Bathrooms/ laundry room
Wed: Living room/ entry
Thurs: Master bedroom/ closets
Fri: Kitchen/ dinning room
Sat: Family day
Sun: Mom's day off
I have a meal plan for the month so I just look up what day in the month it is and make that for supper except hubby makes supper on Sunday.

Me too! Weekends are when I get to spend time with my hubby and daughter together! Bugger the house. Unless we're having friends round, the place can wait til Monday!

I don't really have a schedule. I do some sort of cleaning probably 4 days a week, but I don't take all day to do it (maybe an hour or two total and some days less). I never clean the same things on set days; meaning one week I may wash vacuum and wash floors on a Monday and another week it may be on a Thursday.

The main cleaning chores are dusting, cleaning the bathroom(fully clean the bathroom once a week), vacuuming, washing floors. I don't vaccuum and wash floors more than once a week sometimes even less than that. If something looks dirty at that time, I will clean it then. As for closets and cupboards, they only get tidied when they look like they need to be done.

As for dinners, they usually are not the same every week. The only day we usually keep it the same it Wednesdays, which is usually some kind of pasta.

LOL! We dont eat the same thing week after week. The dinner schedule changes. Even the house work can change depending on what gets done and what might not get done or maybe something needs to be added in place of something else. We also go out, I take my girls to the park, the zoo, on playdates, we have out door fun, recently we did messy fun week, we played with finger paints outside, jumped in mud puddles when it rained, and today we are going outside and playing with waterballoons. If we leave the house we come back to a clean house so there is no added house work for me. I wipe the stove after every meal is made, The days marked to wipe down stove means just to wash the burners and wipe down the inside of the stove if needed. Doesnt take longer than 15-20 minutes. The Refrigerator is always clean so throwing away un-needed food and wiping it clean takes another 15-20 minutes. All this can be easily done while my girls nap or play in another room or even close by. The moping may take a little longer but I dont live in a big house. We have 5 rooms in my apartment so I usually mop the kitchen and the bathroom and my bedroom early in the morning, Then when my girls are distracted in the living room I mop their room. When they are napping I mop the living room.

My cleaning schedule is pretty easy to stick to... don't let anything start to smell bad. So basically, as soon as it's noticeably dirty, it gets cleaned. Oh, but thursday is garbage day, so that's when the litter box gets completely changed and the garbage is taken out.

I walked into the livingroom once with a black trashbag....I never have to ask the kids to pick their crap up more than once anymore. How old are your kids?

I dont'clean that much lol the jobs i do take like maybe an hour of the day each day. I cannot wait until my kids are old enough to clean up properly. The mess isn't really rubbish or food scraps or plates lying around (logan puts his in the bin when he's done) but like toys they are still playing with. UI still have to stand there and make him pack the blocks iup or he gets distracted.

Oh wait I left out extra curriculars.......oh wow ok so we never really set out to clean....but if when the kids are done finger painting in the kitchen they wipe up their mess the cabnets get cleaned and so does the floor..... the have to shower in their bathroom.....which makes a mess...that they clean...and magic clean bathroom. We don't have much that needs to be dusted our house looks like toys r us meets library meets video game. The kids have to clean the table and floor after every mean so I guess my floor gets done at least 3 times a day. I do not see how all of you clean so damn much...playing with the kids is way more fun.

You clean way more than I do.

My weekly schedule... My 5 year old picks up every morning , both kids clean up before bed.

Monday- take kids to river or jumpy place or park to fly kite, eat snack lunch (cheese, veggies, fruit) talk about dinner for an hour before decided what hubs will cook

Tuesday- I go to school, hubs keeps kids and cleans the house ie dishes in the dishwasher spot sweeping if needed, attemps not to destroy the house while tormenting the kids..err... I mean watching them. Hubs texts me around 3 asking what I want for dinner.....get home eat and play with kids

Wednesday- river with kids, ask if anyone has run out of clothes yet (if so hubs throws a load in, I will switch them over then fold and put away) quickly look over the house to make sure its not in horible shape.....if needed clean floor and whatnot

Thursday- see tuesday

Friday- sleep in....everyone spends 10 min once we get up cleaning- do whatever the kids want...river, park, jumpy place, kites, bikes.....usually eat breakfast for dinner

Saturday and Sunday are free for alls.......but the thing is even with a 5 year old and a 2 year old our house is never dirty. Everyone and I mean EVERYONE picks up after themselves if something looks dirty take 5 freaking min out of the day to clean it. We really probably spend no more than 5-15 min a day cleaning anything. That is not even 15 straight min that is spread out over the day. We have just gotten the kids in the habbit of putting shit up when they are done, when they take a shower or bath wipe the counter down when your done and spot check the rest of the bathroom, clothes go in hamper, they bring them to the wash room when they are half full, if you see a piece of trash freaking pick it up and throw it away. I will never clean this house by myself seeing as I am not the only one that lives in it and as things are going I am pretty sure you would run out of shit to clean after maybe 30 min and that is if you get obsessive over it.

I have a rough schedule like Saturday and Sunday - empty dishwasher, cook dinner, relax
Monday - dishwasher, laundry, vacuum and mop, windows and mirrors, cook dinner, fold laundry while food is cooking and put away
tuesday - load of laundry, dishwasher, playgroup, hang out washing, relax while kids sleep, clean kitchen cupboards adn doors in the afternoon, get washiong off and fold, cook dinner
wednesday - load of laundry and hang out, dishwasher, clean bathroom and toilet, fold laundry
thursday - wipe out the fridge, dishwasher, laundry, coffee at mayfair, hang out washing, relax while kids are asleep, fold washing, grocery shopping
friday - dishwasher, laundry, go visiting or shopping, come home and hang out, relax while kids sleep, fold washing, watch operation repo when damo gets home

Sometimes I need to do the vacuuming more than once or mop or clean the bathroom or toilet, whatever.

Are these the dinners you have every week? I mean, do you really just do Fish Burgers every Wednesday for instance?

Anyway, I don't have a schedule. It's whatever works for that particular day. Shit happens around here a lot. We run 2 businesses and I'm at Uni. If I tried to make myself stick to a cleaning schedule, or even an exact dinner schedule, I think they'd have to lock me up.

And like Sherri, I only mop once a week, I only vaccum once a week, I dust maybe once a month, and forget the closets, that only gets done a couple of times a year. And I try to do laundry when I know there is a sunny day because I don't have to use the dryer.

None.

I wash dishes, sweep floors, do laundry, make lunch, make dinner all daily, make sure kids are showered, teeth brushed (I have 4 from 15 to newborn + 2 three yr olds that I watch 5 days a week), common rooms are all straightened daily.

Anything else gets done as needed.

Honestly you clean far more than I do. We only clean bathroom as needed but never more than once a week (unless someone had an accident). Never mop floors more than once a week. Closets get done maybe once every six months and we rarely dust.
