ooh dear, i dont believe you are seeing things that arent there, you are her momma, you will be and are the first person to know when something seems off. i was wondering if a combination of her sensory issues, developmental impairment, and ADHD might be showing things that seem like autism. as a mom i say see a new Dr for a second opinion if you are able. if she has a pt or ot talk with them as well as her teachers at school, anyone who works closely with her. keep a notebook where you keep track of behavior so that you are able to show her physician specific incidents and areas of concern. i hope that you are able to get things worked out!

shes only on movical to help her go to the toilet, shes used to be on sleeping medicine but got through it. im sure im not seeing things that are not there people always ask ifs shes has austium. The doctor did say adhd children have the same symptoms as austium children. She has had loads of tests for genetics but nothing has come back. I would just like to know either way so we can move on.Microcephaly means small head.

I feel that second opinions are always a good idea, also i am curious if she is taking any medication that could possibly be causing issues that may look like something it is not. also though i am not familiar with microcephaly on a personal basis it sounds as though the other obstacles your child faces are a direct result to her microcephaly diagnosis. how old is your daughter? perhaps she simply feels safer around adults. Autism is a spectrum dianosis, so perhaps she does fall somewhere in the range, but my guess would be that perhaps you are seeing a combination of things from her other diagnoses. good luck and hang in there momma!

I agree with Amanda, ask for a 2nd opinion. Your daughter seems to have a lot of problems, are you sure you are not seeing problems that do not exist: if you get stressed over her condition she will pick up on it. Good luck whatever the outcome.

I really do not know what to say as this situation does not apply to me. I would say though, if you think she has autism, take her to another doctor to see what they say about her condition.
