My daughter is 13 and she has ADD (severe inattentive) and anxiety. Academically she is doing well because of a great school and IEP but socially she is not. Yesterday, she received an award for middle schooler of the month so I was at school to watch her receive the award. She said she wanted me to say hi to her 2 "friends", they clearly did not seem interested in her and she said they would not want her help to decorate the classroom. She invited them over to our house but they said they were too busy with packing. I could see she was devastated but she would not admit there was a problem, meanwhile there are other girls she could be friends with but she wants THESE girls as friends. As a side note, she used to be very close to one of these girls. Anyways, after school I could hear her crying in her room and this was extremely painful but when I asked she said she stubbed her toe!
