Blow-drying does dry out hair and repeated heat causes damage. I would stop blow-drying for a while and/or use a spray designed to protect against heat styling. If you don't want her to go to bed with wet hair, then make sure she takes her bath/shower earlier in the evening and let her hair air-dry as much as possible.
Real mayonnaise (not Miracle Whip) will help improve her hair. 30 minutes before her shower, get her hair damp (not too wet) with a spray bottle and warm water. Have her apply the mayo all over her hair, then put a shower cap over it and leave it in for 20 minutes. Then she can get in the shower, rinse the mayo out really well, and shampoo/condition as usual. Do that once a week for 3 weeks then cut back to once a month. A really good moisturizing shampoo and conditioner would help, too.
