My Daughter is 18mths old and has beautiful white teeth we brush them twice a day and she never goes to bed with a drink other than water. her two front teeth have identical white spots on them. Does anyone know what it is from so I don't have to call the Dr. in a panic????

Everyone is right. My adult teeth have white spots. thankfully my coffee addiction has kind of nulled them out.

But as a kid my dentist said something interefered with my calcium absorption at the time the teeth were forming and that caused the white spots.

I was sick a lot as a kid. REALLY high fevers and milk pretty much curdled the second it hit my fevered body. I did a LOT of puking back then.

But seeing as yours is so young - its a little odd to me that she would have them. She should have been raised on calcium fortified formula or breast milk - but being sick might have caused it, and like taryn said - if you made her formula with tap water - maybe its a chemical thing.

It certainly could be low calcium my daughter only likes Milk warmed and I have a big problem with low iron. I just don't want my daughter to have those white spots on her little teeth. I'm kind of teeth person and I wish that everyone could have a perfect smile including my own daughter. Thank you so much! I'm going to call my Dr. and see if I can help this

Well she doesn't get water out of the tap unless we are cooking with it. She only gets bottled water. But I still might get a report from out city. Thanks.

Get a water test, might be tetracycline staining. Im a dental assistant so i know a little something about that. I have seen children with staining like that. It is permanant too. Give her bottled eater until you get your water tested.

It sounds like a calcium deficiency or low iron. Make sure she gets a vitamin every day to keep both up and give her lots of milk. I personally have this problem and my son did until i gave him more milk and the vitamin every day. He wont even drink water if i offer it to him anymore lol
