I'm assuming Karissah's daughter has rolled over by now considering this was posted over a year ago.

its totally fine my daughter was 15 weeks wen she first sat up by herself but she was 9months when she rolled over!!! by then she was standing against furniture and walked a few weeks later! the books say they should roll over at 4 months but every child is different! the only advice i would give is to have her on her tummy on the floor that will encourage her to try.

i believe "normal" age is 5 months, so don't worry! every baby is different, and there is no need to compare them to any other child unless they are months behind on certain things. all 3 of my boys rolled over super early (my last one did, the day he came home from the hospital!), but they didn;t walk until they were almost 18 months old. just don't worry so much about milestones. they'll do it when they're ready!

The normal age for starting to roll is 5-7 months. She absolutely should not be rolling yet, dont worry.

Hi, I've got four gorgous kids and they have rolled at many different times. My first rolled around 4 months(he wanted to stand all the time and spent very little time on the floor) my 2nd rolled at 9 months but he also crawled walked and got his first teeth at exactly the same time. My third did pretty much the same thing rolled crawled walked and teeth at once at one year old. I now have a three month old like you and she is trying very hard to role. My advice is if they are smiling and interacting and moving their arms and legs don't worry. She will move. I spent so much of my time analysing my first born to make sure he met all of his goals that it became hard to 'enjoy the moment'. Your are doing a great job.

No worry, all babies start pick up things differently. My baby boy's strenght is strong, but he start learn to roll when he is coming to 5 months.

she will do all she needs to in her own time she may even bypass somethings. one of my twin girls just got up and walked at 9months she never crawled she went from sitting to up and walking.

i wouldn't worry, all babies do things in the own time. not every baby is exactly to the mold of how they say they should be. enjoy how little and precious she is now because before you know it they are walking and running and hard to keep up with, i have a 2 1/2 year old and a 14 month old, believe me time is so precious

Hey,
My daughter is now 16 months and she never rolled!! She sat up on her own earlier than her peers and then crawled and walked at around average stage. She sometimes rolls around on the floor now but never did it as a baby, she would never lay on her tummy (tummy time) she just cried although she sleeps on her tummy now...lol..
So I really wouldn't worry. My daughter has developed perfectly well without ever rolling over! We are all different and variety is the spice of life. xxx

i have an 18 month old and she didn't roll over until she was 6 months old. She was walking just before her 1st birthday. I was the same, worrying about her development and comparing her to the other babies in the groups that i went to but i soon learnt that all babies do things in their own time. She was one of the last to roll, but the 1st to crawl. She'll do it when she is ready...in the mean time just enjoy her

My daughter wouldn't roll over until she was six months old... many months after all of the other babies in our Mother's Group. She didn't crawl well either, but from crawling she jumped right into walking. She is 3+ now and can keep up with anyone her age physically. She is even top of her class at swimming. I wouldn't worry at all unless she is missing several of her developmental milestones.

first i would like to say congrats on your baby!! i too have a 3month old!! so much fun. she has not roled over either. but she is doing other things like big smiles, cueing, and finding her tounge and fingers. so my advice is don't worry about what the "book" says as long as your baby is happy, healthy, and making some kind of progress she is just fine. not all babies make the same milestones at the same time. i also have 4 year old and he was always way above where he should be as a baby and started walking at 8 1/2 months. but my baby girl is taking her time about everything. just enjoy them and be happy for what she is doing and she will do what you want soon.

Every baby is different and reaches milestones at different times, there is no set time for them to do things, she will do it all when she is ready

My daughter is excatly the same. shes 3 months 2 weeks, she cant quite roll over she gets half way then gets frustrated and turns back. But.. she can sit her self up and like you said in the car seat, she will sit her self bolt up right and in her chair at home, she is getting there!
