- every night i have to rock her to sleep and then i put her in her crib, she wakes again at 1 and WILL NOT go back to sleep until she comes into my bed, she then wakes again at 3 until 5am! We are so tired that 2 nights ago after her bath, dinner & story i just put her into her crib, she cried for one hour but went to sleep - during the night when she woke it was same thing except she just would not stop 2 hours later, last night she cried for 45 minutes until she puked !!!! what can i do mums? she clings on to me in her sleep when she is in bed and i cant leave the room, i tried going for dinner one night and was called to come home - she is too attached but i don't know how to break this, i don't want her puking every time :(

Check out some no-cry sleep solutions... I'm sure there are websites and I know there are books (not that I own any, but I've heard). I would not continue as you have been. That is just heartbreaking. Of course, my youngest didn't sleep through til he was 2. Nursing him back to sleep was just faster and easier on all of us and by 2 he was old enough to understand and there was no crying cuz HE was ready to sleep through at that point.... We've had good nights for the past 3 years now. :)

I am highly against CIO though.

she is old enough, if she clings to you, maybe she needs a stuffed animal
