There are such a number of reasons that could be causing this irritability and would help to determine the cause. Talk to your pediatrition, and if they are unable to help, seek a child psychologist; and remember that it's very normal for a child at this age to be emotional! All you can do is help her along.
In most cases, the best way to help a young child become emotionally stronger is to be strong yourself! When you have to leave her somewhere, prepare her ahead of time letting her know who will take care of her and when you'll be back. Be confident in HER and show it! Try not to show any anxieties you may have with leaving her. And don't prolong the goodbye...explain again when you'll be back, give her a hug and kiss, and leave. When you return, remind her that you said you would be back and now you are! Talk about what she did while you were away, and tell her you are proud of her.
Don't loose heart, she's just a developing little girl, and it is true; it's hard being little!
