yea i'm with the other moms. My daughter is 5 now and she can't really pronounce girl or school right but luckily i was at school with her the one day that she had to see the speech therapist for an evaluation. i had some concerns as well so i asked if she was going to need help and the therapist said that no she was right on target for her age. she also said that the best thing to do for your child is to over pronounce every word that may have a complicated sound like bath or girl. and make sure that you work with her when she does say something not quite right. just repeating what they say then having them repeat what you say will help so much. but i wouldn't worry about it to much.

Like Jenn said, it's normal at that age for them to have a little problem with some sounds. My daughter (turned 6 today) has an issue with the "th" sound. Like the word path sounds like paf or bath sounds like baf. If it is anything more than that, like the others said, she needs to see a speach therapist.

How does she not "speak right"? Do you mean she doesn't speak? Or do you just mean that some sounds are difficult for her? My son is 5 and sometimes struggles with "th" and "F" sounds. For example, the word "first" might come out like "sirst".
