Hi Moms! I have a 7 year old daughter named Allie, when I got pregnant and she when was born my husband and I were in a difficult situation. We got separated but got together again when she was three.
She used diaper until she was 4, since then she learned how to use the toilet, but at night or ANYTIME she sleeps and no matter what time she wets her bed. Now she is 7 years old and I find this not normal, is it normal? Does it have to do with any physiological problem? I'm just worried and it's a lot work to have to clean up and wash her sheets every single day and I don't know what to do anymore. I once tried waking her up once a night and she still wet her bed, then I tried waking her up two times, three times, four times and only by the time I woke up FIVE TIMES she did not wet her bed. It's exhausting! I need to have energy to do other stuff at home, I have an other beautiful daughter too, and I can't wake up five times everyday! I don't know what to do, I worry about her a lot. I've tried not giving her liquids past 8:00 p.m. but she cries a lot about it saying that she feels really thirsty. What can I do? Is this normal? I'm just so tired and worried. Thanks! Olivia

It can be completely normal for children to still wet the bed until they are 10 or so. I would suggest getting some night time pants (like pull ups for older kids) for her so she doesn't wet the bed and cause all the washing. Also invest in a good mattress protector.
