My daughter is Bi-Racial and not sure why her head is itchy.

My daughter has been saying her head has been itchy for a couple days now but I looked last night and did not see anything. I don't put oil or grease in her hair everyday but I do not wash it every day either. I'm not sure if its from the shampoo and conditioner that I am using maybe not getting washed fully out but I'm worried because I don't want her to go to school saying her head is itchy and they thinks she has lice when that's not the case. Not sure what to do!!! Any suggestions?

When you look at her scalp do you see any redness, flaky skin or scaliness? If yes, she may have dermatitis, Trying a shampoo that is sulfate free or designed for sensitive skin may help. Rinsing her hair well is critical and if her hair is very thick, it may be hard to rinse all the way to the scalp. Her school will look for lice before they say anything to her or to you about it if she is itching at school.
