My Daughter is Heartbroken

My 14 year old daughter's boyfriend of 7 months broke up with her last night. Throughout the relationship, she wasn't very nice to him and I warned her multiple times that she needed to be nice, so it's no surprise he broke up with her, though I haven't told her that. She realizes it's mostly her fault, and is beating herself up for it, and I'm trying to be supportive, loving, sympathetic, and say as little as possible, save for the typical "mom" things...I know it hurts now, and it's the worst hurt you've experience, but it will get better...things like that. However, in the course of her pain she's being a total jerk to me and lashing out. I understand it, but it's still not appropriate and while I've reprimanded her for acting that way, which is not uncommon for her, I don't know how harsh I should be right now. I don't know what to say about anything and she's a total wreck. Any advice?

I think she needs to pick up a hobby and get her mind off the guy. Maybe being more productive will help in this situation.
