My daughter is nearly 14 months old and is not rolling properly, not crawling, not sitting up. She has fluid around her brain and maybe an eye problem. We have had many tests done MRI, ECG, EEG, ERG, etc and still not getting any results. I am so stressed out because we are not getting any answers and doctors wont give us any idea of what they think is wrong.. She will only eat tin food, doesn't like lumpy food at all. If you put her on her stomach she will roll straight onto her back. She only says 1 word "dada". Has anyone else's babies been through this???

I am not sure what state you live in or anything. But most county's or states have Human Services agencies that will evaluate and set you up with an in-home therapist to help her meet her developmental milestones. In PA it is called Early Intervention Services. Contact the Human Services department for your state or county and they could offer assistance as well.

I don't know where you live but I would contact a children's hospital (such as St. Jude's or All Childrens Hospital, St. Petersburg, FL) and make an appointment for your baby ASAP. It sounds as if your doctors may be in over their heads and do not know exactly what her problem is. You really need to know what is going on and sooner rather than later. I would start researching childrens hospitals in your state today and make an appointment within the next couple of days.

I am bout to graduate and become a medical assistant. We just was taught about infant and children conditions and to me it sounds like your daughter as hydrocephalus.

Don't wait for the doctors to offer you answers. You have to be her advocate, her voice. You have to demand answers, and if your docs don't know, seek out doctors that do. Someone knows, you just need to find them. Fight for her and accept nothing but the best.
